Quality Inspector
We are searching for an experienced Quality Inspector at our Melbourne Airport facility. In this position, you will be assisting in inspections, BOM generation and product releases on variety of aircraft components. Uphold airworthiness principles, prioritise safety and quality, and ensure efficient processes. Assist with analyse and report on product quality issues, investigate non-conformances, and collaborate with various stakeholders to meet established standards.
Snapshot of the role:
- Support and perform detailed inspection of parts & components per authorised manuals and technical work instructions.
- Assist in preparing BOM in collaboration with Engineering Team.
- Support labour hours estimations.
- Assist with proactive inspections and customer engagement when required.
- Assist in the certification of components in accordance with airworthiness, Quality and Safety procedures if and when required.
- Liaise with other functions to support priorities and performance.
- Support and participate in production and engineering projects and initiatives.
- Ensure quality standards are met continuously, constantly reviewing them to confirm they meet the current needs of internal and external clients.
- Supporting product related quality issues – component root cause failures and making recommendations for external and internal quality/ product improvement.
What we are looking for:
- Recognized Cert IV in Aeroskills (Structures preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance/ servicing of commercial aircraft and/or components
- Experience in interpreting and applying airworthiness and maintenance technical documentation.
- Advanced MS Office Skills
