About the role
This role will provide efficient and accurate administrative support to the Learning and Development team as part of the wider People and Culture team on a day-to-day basis.
You will provide a positive and consistent customer service experience to all customers and stakeholders, to ensure the delivery of Learning and Development activities across Council.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Undertake all general administration functions including records management and administrative tasks associated with the coordination and maintenance of employee training and accreditation records
- Schedule training and conferences and produce all relevant administrative documentation including correspondence, templates, and forms to staff, and conference vendors
- Plan, organise, and coordinate logistics associated with conferences, workshops, bimonthly reward ceremonies, and meetings, including venue, room setup, catering, procurement, and evaluation
- Accounts administration including preparation of purchase orders as per procurement policy and monthly reconciliation of credit card statements
- Generating accurate and timely reports using Excel
Requirements
- Demonstrated relevant experience in an administrative role
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and exceptional time management skills
- Extremely customer-focused, with strong communication skills
- Proven ability to maintain confidentially
- Ability to learn, problem-solve, and adapt to change
- Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and Excel
- Willingness to cross-train and support other administrative areas of the wider People and Culture team.
