The Role
We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual looking to take the first step in their HR career. This role will provide administrative support to the People and Culture team while being exposed to all aspects of the human resources function across the entire employee life cycle.
This is a 12-month contract role working three days each week and would be a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to get hands on experience while they are studying.
Key focus areas include:
- Provide general HR administration support including preparation of contracts and letters, handling employee documentation, maintaining accurate and up to date personnel records, maintain the HRMS, confidential filing and minute taking, spreadsheet management, probation advices, training records, performance plan maintenance, and workers compensation administration.
- Provide payroll support through data entry, accurate recording of notes, and conducting fortnightly payroll processing checks.
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and other workplace changes.
- Execute the new hire onboarding process including paperwork, payroll and IT setup, orientation sessions, etc, ensuring a seamless integration into the Fund.
- Execute the offboarding process including processing paperwork, payroll and IT decommissioning, etc, ensuring a seamless exit from the Fund.
- Assist with HR projects and provide other generalist HR Support to both the People and Culture team and the wider organisation as required or directed.
You have
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or relevant field, or be in the process of completing.
- An interest in human resources or a desire to learn.
- Well-developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to high quality outcomes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills including ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Experience using the Microsoft Office suite e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Be self-motivated with an ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
Desirable
- Previous experience working in a HR team is desired but not required.
