We are Miller Leith, a boutique recruitment consultancy specialising in Specialist Recruitment, Executive Search, and Consultancy services. With over 10 years of experience, we have successfully supported individuals and businesses in navigating challenges in today’s job market. Partnering with well-known Australian brands in FMCG, Retail, Health & Wellness, Pharma, and Hardware/Consumer Goods, we are passionate about people – clients, candidates, and our staff.
 
In recent years, we've experienced significant growth, expanding our team by 30% last year, opening new locations across Australia, and preparing to launch our QLD site in June 2023. We have also broadened our industry expertise and evolved our services to offer consultative support across various employment situations and talent life-cycle stages. As we anticipate another year of growth, we're currently seeking a National People & Culture Manager to join our team
 
The Role
 
As we look forward to another year of expansion, we are actively seeking a dynamic and seasoned professional to assume the role of National People and Culture Manager. This multifaceted position involves shaping internal People and Culture strategy, overseeing the outplacement services division, and delivering external consulting.
 
Key Responsibilities Include:
 
Internal People and Culture Strategy:
  • Support the development and drive implementation of comprehensive People and Culture strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Foster a positive work culture, employee engagement, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align HR practices with business objectives.
Leadership Over Outplacement Services Division:
  • Oversee the outplacement services division, ensuring smooth operations and effective support for individuals in career transition.
  • Develop and implement outplacement strategies to enhance the overall employee experience during periods of change.
  • Lead a team of professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management. 
Delivery of External Consulting Services:
  • Serve as a consultant to external clients, offering expert advice on HR practices, talent management, and organisational development.
  • Conduct needs assessments, design tailored solutions, and deliver high-quality consulting services to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
 Employee Relations and Compliance:
  • Manage employee relations, addressing and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, keeping policies and procedures up to date.
 Data-Driven Decision Making:
  • Utilise HR analytics to make informed decisions and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor key HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR leadership roles, with a focus on People and Culture strategy.
  • Experience in managing outplacement services and a solid understanding of career transition best practices.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering external HR consulting services.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
