Calvary is seeking a dynamic and strategic People and Culture Manager to provide high-level support to our Head of People & Culture and senior leaders across the breadth of the People and Culture function. Your focus will be on service delivery, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
As our People and Culture Manager, you will play a key role in driving the development and delivery of strategic People and Culture initiatives that support the achievement of Calvary's workforce strategy and broader strategic intent.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide People and Culture advice and support across Hospitals, Aged Care and Home Care sector.
Effectively manage and build a People and Culture team which demonstrates Calvary’s values and a best practice approach.
Assist the People and Culture teams with escalations, conduct case management and deliver on project/program implementation.
Manage system workflows in conjunction with the Head of People and Culture and People and Culture Managers across Australia.
Pro-actively demonstrate and promote physical and psychological safety within the workplace.
A keen focus on creating and promoting a positive workplace culture for all employees of Calvary through effective leadership, encourage teamwork and ensure employees have opportunities for career development.
Manage reporting requirements for the People & Culture team, and undertake data analysis to inform strategic decision making.
Lead significant organisational change programs, including the development of change and communication plans, ensuring adherence to industrial instruments.
Participate in negotiations of industrial arrangements with the National Industrial Relations team, as required.
Manage, and provide advice relating to dispute and conflict resolution matters with employees, managers and industrial associations.
Work closely with Executive teams to interpret engagement survey results and develop strategies to address improvement opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the People and Culture team.
Ensure positions are properly designed and fully described to align with strategic direction of Calvary, in accordance with Calvary’s HR delegation framework.
What you bring:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or demonstrated equivalent significant skills, knowledge and experience
Significant experience in the management of disciplinary and grievance processes, a strong understanding of industrial and legislative frameworks and the application of these in the workplace
Demonstrated significant experience working in a similar role (in aged or community care, hospitals within a large organisation)
Demonstrated experience in leading a team of People and Culture professionals to achieve a high performing and positive team culture
Significant experience in driving organisation change programs to achieve strategic objectives
