Brunel has partnered with a key Australian organisation with a depth of experience in owning, developing and operating Australian farmland, agriculture infrastructure and other assets. They now are seeking a passionate and dedicated People and Safety Administrator to join their team in Canberra.

Key responsibilities
- Demonstrate a commitment to Safety, Environmental and Equal Opportunity objectives, and a workplace free from discrimination and harassment
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Safety Management System
- Support the People Adviser with recruitment, advertising, interviews and reference checks
- Assist with onboarding of new employees
- Assist with fortnightly preparation and checking of payroll
- Produce and complete payroll journals, leave reports and TOIL reports
- Support the Safety Manager, coordinating document production, system administration, procurement, scheduling audits, travel arrangements and cost allocation
- Assist with the development of HR, WHS and ICT training materials as required
Experience and skills
- Knowledge of, and interest in human resources required
- Knowledge of work health and Safety activities is advantageous
- 12 months + experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Process oriented with the ability to follow guidelines and work autonomously
- Strong ICT literacy skills with a working knowledge of MS Office Suite software
- Methodical, logical and practical working approach
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Great role to learn and grow, training provided
- Variety of tasks and exposure to Health and Safety as well as payroll
- Salary up to $70,000 plus superannuation depending on experience
