We are looking for a People and Safety Administrator to join our Brisbane team at our Head Office in Hemmant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our human resources and Safety initiatives. You will be responsible for maintaining records and ensuring compliance with occupational health and Safety regulations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the development and implementation of OH&S policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of workplace incidents, inspections, and Safety training sessions.
- Coordinate and facilitate OH&S training sessions and Safety meetings.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal OH&S regulations.
- Assist in the investigation of workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide administrative support to the OH&S Manager and other team members.
- Prepare and submit OH&S reports and documentation as required.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in OH&S legislation and industry best practices.
- Assist in the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Prepare HR reports and documentation as required.
- Coordinate and facilitate training sessions and employee development programs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in an OH&S or HR administrative role, preferably within a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of OH&S & HR legislation and regulations in Australia.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and OH&S management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
