The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our People & Culture team. You will work within a collaborative team of Business Partners, develop and nurture strong relationships with your designated client groups and report through to the Head of People Business Partnering. We will work together to develop and implement people priorities that strategically align to the objectives of your corporate client group, of People & Culture and of A&G overall.
You will have the opportunity to join a high performing team, be welcomed by the business as a key strategic player and have the autonomy to partner with senior leaders, your way.
Key accountabilities include:
- Build and maintain trusted Business Partnerships to deliver effective HR solutions across assigned client groups;
- Influence people decisions and strengthen employer brand through interactions with leaders, employees and external parties;
- Take the initiative to add value through strategic challenge, influence and collaboration;
- Analyse people trends and metrics and apply this to the development of solutions, programs and policies aligned to business objectives;
- Guide and support your client group through the intricacies of successful change management and lift their capability in the process;
- Collaborate with the broader Business Partner and People & Culture teams to ensure consistency and rigour around cyclical activities, tools, programs and support.
Auto & General’s division operates across our Toowong, North Lakes and Kawana sites, some flexibility to travel may be required in this position however the position will predominantly be based at Toowong. The option to Work From Home will be open once settled in the position and will be available one day per week.
Knowledge and Experience:
We are looking for a confident, skilled Business Partner with strong generalist experience. You will have the ability to drive a culture of high performance and high integrity via cyclical and custom activities.
Key requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Law);
- Well-developed analytical and research skills, and the ability to succinctly present ideas, plans and information to influence decision making;
- A mature and practical approach, with the ability to switch between strategic, tactical and operational thinking;
- Experience managing multiple stakeholder relationships using a consultative style across a large portfolio;
- Proven experience in coaching and mentoring senior leaders to uplift leadership capability;
- Prior experience working within a large and complex organisation is highly desirable.
