The People and Culture Advisor provides support to the People and Culture Business Partners in the key areas of employee relations, policy, procedures, programs and initiatives. We are looking for a motivated team member able to understand what needs to be done and willing to step in and do it.
In this role you will be advising and communicating with a diverse group of people leaders and employees with various levels of skills, knowledge and experience responding to general employee life cycle enquiries so your customer service skills will be highly valued. Your excellent administrative skills, strong attention to detail and passion for people and culture will shine through.
The role
- Provide support to the People and Culture Business Partners and act as the first point of contact for all People queries, managing day-to-day administrative operations
- Assist in the effective management of employment related documents such as secondments, flexible working arrangements, preparation of files and research for complex matters
- Working in a high-volume work environment you will be required to apply your reasoning and judgement skills to interpret and practically apply legislation and policies
- The position will also contribute to continuous improvement with the vision to enabling employees and managers to handle routine employee life cycle related enquiries via self service
Essential criteria
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience in a similar HR role, with a focus on employee relations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization
- A proactive and solutions-oriented approach, with the ability to multitask and prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment
- A commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality in all HR-related matters
