ABOUT THE ROLE

As our People & Culture Manager, you will be presented with the unique opportunity to make your mark in a growing and impact-driven company. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be at the helm of reimagining the employee experience at MicrotechDPS, starting from the first day of each employee and continuing throughout their journey with us. 

As we continue to scale, you will be responsible for building and optimising HR processes, including onboarding and offboarding, recruitment, pay and benefits, and employee engagement. You will also provide vital support to our company leaders with the day-to-day challenges, ensuring that our workplace remains a dynamic and supportive environment for all.

A DAY IN THE LIFE 
  1. Act as the go-to for all HR-related support and advice, helping our growing team navigate and understand company processes and policies with a personal touch. 
  2. Manage recruitment end-to-end: prepare job descriptions, advertise positions, screen applicants, conduct thorough interviews, complete diligent background checks, prepare employment agreements, etc. 
  3. Coordinate our new starter onboarding experience by collecting essential employee information, coordinating tasks for completion with the wider team, and organising welcome sessions to help new team members settle in. 
  4. Coordinate the performance management cycle, from helping managers facilitate one-on-ones, to monitoring 90-day plans, to guiding development discussions and managing performance improvement. 
  5. Coordinate pay and benefits changes and strategies: provide guidance, prepare reports, and work with our finance team to process adjustments. 
  6. Handle employee departures respectfully, conducting exit interviews, ensuring the recovery of company assets, and arranging final pays. 
  7. Process payroll and superannuation for all employees in line with legislative requirements. 
  8. Prepare ad-hoc reports for the leadership team that inform strategic decision-making and workforce planning. 
  9. Manage and optimise Employment Hero, providing troubleshooting support for any issues and keeping up to date with new features and updates. 
  10. Design and lead HR initiatives that underpin our dedication to fostering a nurturing, team-oriented, and results-driven team culture. 
  11. Prepare company communications that resonate with our company values, while enhancing the overall employee experience. 
  12. Champion our employer brand by helping to showcase our unique culture on social media platforms, attracting talent, and building our reputation as a great place to work.
