Formal qualifications are not important in this newly created people and culture role.
A growth mindset and the ability to know when and how to ask smart questions is more highly valued and help promote learning and new ways of thinking. Key to the role is also the ability to clearly communicate risks and options in approach within a range of workplace situations. Innovating thinking in a resource-constrained environment is another key attribute that would help set you up for success.
Although there is one direct report this senior position needs you to take a hands-on business partnering approach with all levels of the organisation. Typical duties will include:
- Provide pragmatic guidance to managers regarding a range of employment situations.
- Regularly review all current people and culture touchpoints to ensure they are aligned with Community Vision values.
- Working with Recruitment Officer to ensure a pipeline of passionate talented people are ready to join our growing operations.
- Establishing and maintaining systems to ensure compliance with relevant Awards, legislation, and sector standards, as well as Community Vision’s policies.
- Lead people and culture initiatives including but not limited to drafting new policies, amending policies, new policy implementation (including training), performance reviews, remuneration reviews, and engagement surveys.
- Developing and leading the implementation of people and culture strategy, plans, and systems to ensure a highly engaged, outcome-oriented, and values-driven organisation.
- Champion change management within the organisation.
Not for profit experience is not required but what is important is a passion for high quality service delivery to help ensure clients of community vision receive the highest standards of care. High levels of resilience are essential as many clients are receiving end-of-life support.
