In this 12-month contract as a People Services Advisor, you'll be a key point of contact for employees and managers, providing accurate and timely HR operational support throughout the employee lifecycle. This position is ideal for an experienced People & Culture Coordinator/Officer looking to take their next career step. The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder engagement and will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
You will also:
- Provide advice to assist leaders and employees on operational and procedural HR matters to ensure they understand relevant information, processes and HR related compliance requirements, and are able to use these effectively in day-to-day work activities. This includes using input/feedback from leaders and employees to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Ensure the confidentiality of employee information in the maintenance of SAP and Objective HR data to ensure quality data processing and record-keeping requirements are met.
- Drive the continuous process improvement of employee data management through monitoring and reviewing current systems and processes, and actively making recommendations for implementing efficient and effective changes to processes, whilst balancing the day-to-day BAU needs of the business.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and review of procedures and processes based on relevant legislation and contemporary HR management practices to ensure Powerlink adopts a best practice approach to process improvement and to enable timely delivery of effective and consistent HR services to support business needs.
- Work collaboratively across People and Culture, creating links between HR functions and promoting cross collaboration to ensure the broader team meets the needs of internal and external stakeholders and the broader goals of Powerlink.
- Generation of standard and ad hoc reports and working with the People Systems and Insights Analysts with identifying and testing improvements to the SAP HR system.
- Diploma or Certificate in Human Resource Management, Business or similar or significant experience in HR practice
- Demonstrated experience operating in a HR generalist role in a complex and changing environment.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with other HR professionals across a diverse range of projects and work tasks.
- Demonstrated experience identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and drive the implementation of new processes and/or systems in a HR/people advisory context.
- Demonstrated experience applying employment and industrial framework knowledge to the development and interpretation of HR procedures and processes and provision of advice.
- Demonstrated experience utilising HR systems (e.g. SAP) and associated business applications, including quality checking, reporting and data interrogation.
