The Role

The purpose of the People Services Manager is to proactively engage with the team to ensure they achieve agreed expectations consistently, are providing a quality service to the business in a timely manner and contributing to the development of an efficient and effective tiered People Services model.

This role requires a high standard of risk and compliance management, process review, improvement and implementation.

Key Responsibilities will include (however, not limited to the below):

  • Coach and support team providing day to day operational guidance and leadership, developing team capability and improving quality of service delivery 
  • Work closely with People Services Advisors and Senior People Partners to support the management of workplace issues and concerns, including performance and conduct management and workplace investigations
  • Identify insights and opportunities to improve the stakeholder and people experience and manage ongoing continuous improvement initiatives across people, process and systems 
  • Support the Head of People Services to oversee and coordinate work volumes, team allocation and team support to enable quality and timely service delivery 
  • Act as a subject matter expert in relations to appropriate processes within the People Services function 
  • Reporting and analysis on timings and trends of processing to ensure that the People Services team are meeting agreed SLAs 
  • Provide support to ensure people cases are managed in a fair and appropriate way
  • Work with value chain stakeholders to continuously find opportunities to optimise processes through technology.
  • Ensure the appropriate use of process and templates to enable a consistent approach to the management of people issues
  • Monitor data and address any issues to ensure regular analysis

About You

  • 5 + Years of experience in an operational People & Culture team
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and management of a team
  • Understanding of organisational interdependencies, interfaces and processes with employee life cycle
  • Demonstrated capacity to exercise judgement, discretion, confidentiality and initiative
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements
  • Knowledge of P&C disciplines
