As the exclusive Australian provider of chartered governance accreditation, the Institute offers short courses, certificates, and postgraduate studies to advance members' knowledge.The Governance is home to the Governance Academy – a premier education, training, and research hub. The Academy is dedicated to advancing governance excellence through innovative education and collaborative research.About the Role:
As the Business Relationship Manager for Governance Academy, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and enhancing the Academy’s brand and market presence. Your responsibility will be to develop robust networks with academic and industry partners, attract top-tier professionals for educational and research collaborations, and create significant growth opportunities for the Academy.You will also:
- Represent the Governance Academy to external agencies, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Chair or manage committees, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
- Contribute to the strategic and operational leadership of the Academy, supporting its brand cultivation and educational excellence.
- Identify and develop business opportunities within the higher education sector by fostering partnerships with universities and institutes both in Australia and internationally.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in education and training programs.
- Stay informed of emerging trends in higher education to enhance the Academy’s offerings.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of business development activities using relevant metrics, contributing to board reports and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a passionate and dynamic individual with a knack for relationship-building across the higher education sector. You will also have:
- An undergraduate degree or higher in Education, Training, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in education and training leadership, with proven business acumen.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to innovate and drive process improvements, and the adaptability to change and strategic direction.
- Commitment to workplace policies, including safety, equity, and diversity.
