About your new role:
As the primary referral center for smaller communities within the Tablelands cluster, our facility features three state-of-the-art theatres and an endoscopy room. We conduct 2 to 3 surgical lists per day, covering a range of specialties:
- Theatre One: Orthopaedics, Ophthalmic
- Theatre Two: General, Obstetrics/Gynaecology, Emergencies
- Theatre Three: Obstetrics/Gynaecology, Urology, Emergencies
- Procedure Room (Theatre 4): All Endoscopic procedures
As a valued member of our perioperative team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of care and operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include liaising with staff to ensure the correct equipment is available and functioning, maintaining supplies, and ensuring thorough cleaning and waste management in accordance with ACORN standards. You will support a safe and respectful environment, assist in patient positioning and preparation, provide inter-operative assistance, and transport specimens.
As an enthusiastic team member, you will be essential in delivering high-quality service to our theatres, Day Procedure Centre, and other clinical areas. You will receive comprehensive orientation and training within the unit, facilitated by our staff and Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), as well as through online learning modules.
