Applications are sought from suitable candidates for the position of permanent Chemical Attendant at Invicta Mill in the Burdekin Region. This position involves day work and may require some weekend work and overtime.
The Chemical Attendant works closely with the Laboratory team members and the Process Improvement Engineer to monitor, troubleshoot, and adjust the chemical dosing systems used at site. You will also work in conjunction with the Evaporator Operator to check on and take corrective action to maintain the starch enzyme (Amylase) and evaporator anti scale dosing systems.
There are various housekeeping duties involved in this role, with additional tasks being assigned on a maintenance day.
Specific Requirements
- Work effectively within a team environment as a member of a work team.
- Work safely and look after the safety of others in the area.
- Communicate effectively on telephone and two-way radio.
- Work in conjunction with Maintenance Teams.
- Be able to provide regular and accurate feedback to the Work Coordinator on factory issues.
- Undertake further training.
