We are seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join our team as the full-time Bar Manager. Whilst experience is appreciated, we would be happy to support someone looking to make the step from service to management and grow with us as the re-branded business grows.
Job Description:
As the Bar Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our bar, ensuring smooth service, maintaining high standards of quality, and creating a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. With the support of the owners, you will also be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our live music events, including marketing and promotion. Your primary goal will be to create an overall welcoming atmosphere for our patrons while ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth bar operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of bar operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and overseeing beverage preparation.
- Train, supervise, and schedule bar staff to deliver outstanding customer service and uphold company standards.
- Monitor sales and revenue performance, analyse trends, and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation behind the bar, adhering to health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Manage customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and timely manner, striving to exceed expectations.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among staff.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and innovations in mixology to continuously improve our offerings.
- Collaborate with owners to plan and execute special events, promotions, and marketing initiatives around scheduling of live music performances,
- Manage all aspects of event planning and execution, including sound checks, stage setup, and promotional activities.
- Enforce safety and compliance standards, including alcohol service regulations and venue capacity limits.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry, however we are willing to consider someone stepping up their career into management.
- Strong knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and achieving sales targets.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management software, and basic accounting principles.
- Certification in responsible service of alcohol.
- Cert IV in Hospitality or be willing to obtain.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
