The Equipment Operator, reporting to the Senior Equipment Operator, is responsible for the daily operation and cleaning of the Filling Equipment, including the management of filling volumes and day to day preventative maintenance. The Equipment Operator must adhere to the strict hygiene standards of the production area for food safety compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Has a high standard of food safety hygiene;
- Daily operation of filling machines including but not limited to;
- Set up and pre-sanitising
- Maintaining filling operation and product changes
- CIP of equipment at the end of the daily filling
- Manual clean of equipment at the end of the daily filling
- Manual clean of the filling room area at the end of the daily filling
- Responsibility for the completion of all daily filling tasks.
- Documenting product quality data;
- Co-ordinating the product filling to optimise efficiencies and prioritise the critical products each day;
- Report packaging (or any) product faults, repairs and maintenance items to the Filling Manager;
- Ad hoc duties in the production area as required.
A driver’s licence is essential, and previous experience in a food hygiene workplace is desirable.
