The opportunity

The Business Support Consultant sits within UniSuper's Member & Advice division and reports to the Head of Member Services. Within this role you will provide seamless administrative and Business Support to the Head of Member Services, allowing the leadership team to drive change and reach key business outcomes.

You will become an expert in your knowledge of key organisational rhythms and you will proactively plan for these, whilst also managing day to day BAU activities. Your role is critical to supporting the Member Services function at a time where we are undergoing exceptional business transformation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and prioritising the day to day work such as inbox activities, diary management, strategy plans, meetings, producing documentation and travel arrangements
  • Proactively design, plan, and coordinate the rhythms for leadership and team meetings
  • Liaising with Internal Communications to implement a consistence internal communications framework
  • Planning and coordinating culture & engagement related activities aimed to increase team effectiveness, social connection & team satisfaction
  • Managing head-count trackers, position management, expenses, budget tracking and FTE reconciliation
  • Managing invoices, purchase orders, system requests, team compliance training, travel and expenses

About you

Member Services and the Member & Advice function overall are transforming, and we are looking for a critical thinker who has the ability to pivot between navigating activities that support key business objectives whilst also managing the day-to-day administrative tasks.

As the successful candidate you are exceptionally organised and proactive with the ability to pre-empt and plan around business rhythms and act accordingly, in order to ensure stakeholders are informed and prepared.

We are looking for a Business Support Professional who thrives in an environment of change, who can act without direct instruction and is excited about supporting a leader who is shaping the direction of a critical business function.

In addition, you should ideally be able to demonstrate:

  • Outstanding organisational skills including an ability to set priorities and work to deadlines
  • High level of emotional intelligence with the ability to think strategically and understand core objectives
  • Impactful and authentic written communication skills with impeccable attention to detail
  • High level of confidentiality with the ability to manage sensitive data
  • Continuously looking to improve processes and ways of working
  • Self-starter with a desire to take ownership and provide exceptional service and support
