We are seeking Personal Carers to join our Southern Cross Care QLD family at our Tarcoola Residential Aged Care Home in Tara. We have three full time positions available.
Based in the beautiful Western Downs region of Queensland, Tara is located 45 minutes south of the thriving rural service centre of Chinchilla. Surrounded by picturesque countryside, the friendly township of Tara provides a wonderful lifestyle opportunity for those who prefer country life whilst still providing easy access to amenities.
Under the leadership of the Enrolled & Registered Nurses, you will provide holistic person centred, high quality care to our residents. You’ll join a care team where compassion and empathy accompany the delivery of exceptional personal care to our residents every day, including bathing, dressing and other support services depending on their individual needs.

- To promote flexibility, variety and to allow you the opportunity to gain experience across multiple roles in the organisation, there may be an opportunity for you to work in other Aged Care Worker roles. Any additional role/s will be subject to appropriate training, and any request will be considered based on relative business needs. Additional roles may include Lifestyle, Catering Assistant/Cook and/or Domestic Assistant.
- You will hold a Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (desirable)
- Medication Assist Competency (desirable)
- You will have an understanding of Aged Care and Residents rights and responsibilities
- You are dedicated to caring for older people to live their best lives
- You will work well within a team environment and have a friendly approachable manner
- Strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills
- You must be flexible with your availability of days and shift times
