An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Extrusion Operator in Martogg’s state of the art PET recycling plant that is providing food grade circular solutions for the reprocessing of post-consumer waste in Australia. Ideally suited to someone who possesses good interpersonal and communication skills and can confidently work under minimal guidance.
The Role
This person will be a member of an efficient and productive manufacturing team, which ensures outcomes are achieved in the timeliest and cost-effective manner.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a solid work ethic and ideally have a level of knowledge in polymers. Although not mandatory, a background in materials recycling, compounding of plastics or milling of polymer powders would be considered advantageous.
The role is for set shifts working a standard 38-hour week.
Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure plant and machinery is operated to stated procedures and standards.
- Manufacture product to the specified quality.
- Responsible for the equipment and area which has been assigned for the work period.
- Play an active role in progressing the organisation for the future.
- Ensure plant and area is maintained at agreed standards.
- Ensure Health & Safety standards are adhered to
The Individual:
- Must have a “can do” attitude with flexibility
- Perform duties in a workman like manner.
- Share in the responsibility of the overall work site.
- Participate in relevant training development and skills progression for self.
- Have good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to attain the skills for a Forklift License.
- Understand process control with particular emphasis on reduction of waste and maximising output.
