Job description

About Simply:

If we had to summarise Simply Pharmacy in a single sentence, we don’t think we could say it better than the great Jimmy Barnes and Tina Turner – it’s “simply the best” place to be!

As our name suggests, we like to keep things simple. We embody that community pharmacy feeling by providing our customers with personal, reliable and affordable healthcare solutions.

About the Opportunity:

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Pharmacist to join our Toronto team. As a vital member of our pharmacy, you will play a key role in delivering expert pharmaceutical care, supporting our patients' health goals, and contributing to the success of our business. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your clinical expertise, build meaningful relationships with patients and colleagues, and make a positive impact on our community's well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Provide comprehensive medication counseling and education to patients, including dosage instructions, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and promote positive health outcomes.
  • Conduct medication reviews and assessments to identify and address any medication-related issues or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Participate in pharmacy programs and services, such as vaccinations, health screenings, and medication management initiatives.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, stock control, and monitoring expiry dates.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a welcoming and supportive pharmacy environment.
  • Stay informed about new developments in pharmacy practice, medications, and healthcare trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Previous experience working in a community pharmacy setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and a commitment to evidence-based pharmaceutical care.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and computer literacy.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts. Must have Friday and Saturday availability.

If you're passionate about pharmacy practice and dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, we want to hear from you! In return, we offer a competitive salary, ongoing professional development opportunities, and a supportive team environment.
