The Townsville Hospital and Health Service are seeking to recruit an experienced, client focused and outcomes driven Pharmacist - Advanced (Clinical Informatics) to join ieMR Digital Services.

Fixed term temporary full-time, 11 months, (with a possibility of an extension – not exceeding 12 months)
The Advanced Pharmacist is responsible for advanced level pharmaceutical advice, management, leadership, and development of services in the area of electronic medication management in ieMR within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
Generous remuneration package value up to $13,965 p.m.
comprising salary range of $5395.60 to $5630.00 p.f. (HP5), 17.5% leave loading, 12.75 % employer contribution to superannuation. Role requirements
- The applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Pharmacy. Registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia is required.
- While not mandatory a post graduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy or SHPA residency would be highly regarded.
- Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD): Health Care Workers in Queensland Health whose occupation poses a potential risk of exposure to blood or body fluids are required to provide evidence of vaccinations or proof that they are not susceptible (due to prior exposure to the disease and therefore have natural immunity) to the following VPD's: Covid 19, Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Pertussis (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis containing vaccine) according to the Queensland Health Policy.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
Experience
- Demonstrated experience in evidence-based practice to facilitate novel, complex multidisciplinary clinical decisions in response to problems of significant scope.
- Significant stakeholder engagement experience working with medical and nursing staff in adaption of clinical process and practice change.
Skills, Knowledge and Personal Attributes
- Recognised clinical leadership and hospital pharmacy practice, expertise, knowledge and skills obtained through practice, significant professional development activities, post graduate education or formal qualifications.
- A high level of communication, time management and interpersonal skills evidenced through effective consultation, advice provision and assistance to professional peers and other staff.
- Demonstrated understanding of information and patient flow and business processes within The Townsville Hospital.
- Ability to provide advanced-level advice to key stakeholders regarding professional standards and clinical service development.
- Ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices.
- Ability to lead, supervise and manage staff.
