About the Role
The purpose of this role is to contribute to patient care by providing senior assistant support to Pharmacists in the delivery of an efficient and effective medicines management service to cancer patients receiving treatment at the Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH), and other satellite hospitals under the governance of PAH Division of Cancer Services.
- Conduct clinical trial management under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
- Lead quality improvement activities including reviewing and updating work instructions.
- Maintain stock of medicines including high cost drugs, equipment and consumables utilised in production units.
- Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary cancer team in a non-clinical capacity, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist conforming to current legislative and regulatory requirements.
- This position will be required to work offsite at Redlands Satellite Hospital and other satellite sites as needed. The position may also be required to work at the PAH Cancer Services Pharmacy and the Sterile Production Centre and travel between sites.
