Job Description
We require the services of a dispensary technician for a casual position in our busy compounding pharmacy. This can be changed into a permanent position for a successful applicant. Current Science and Pharmacy students can apply , Experienced Pharmacy Technicians. Any past sterile compounding experience will be a bonus.
This role will be a combination of administration and dispensary duties such as:
- Dispensing Vitamins and prescriptions
- Taking prescription orders
- Learning how to make compounds ( Capsules and Injectables) ( Training provided)
- Respond to patient enquiries via phone, email, social media and website contact forms
- Stock take and Cleaning
Skills required:
- Preferred Experience in pharmacy work
- Experience in dispensing of pharmacy products and precriptions
- Must possess above average organisational skills
- IT skills and Maths Knowledge sound
- Work well under pressure/busy environment
- Willing to learn and have interest in all aspects of pharmacy and health
- Must be capable of working in a team environment
Our business is open from 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday. The successful applicant will be required to work a roster in our business hours.
What we look for in a candidate
- Experience using Pharmacy Software
- Passionate about health and wellness medicine
- Qualifications in pharmacy dispensing (not essential, training given)
- Knowledge in compounding (not essential , training given)
