In the 21st century, the INS Group is involved in the development and delivery of various eHealth technologies to support quality health care, regardless of our where our clients are based. Our clients have access to qualified Health Professionals at their fingertips in the event of an emergency.
One of the primary functions of the response team is to provide independent medical assessments for work health and safety incidents via phone, from our Wollongong CBD call centre.
Our Responders use their clinical background and judgement to determine the appropriate course of action for the injured person. They also respond to other calls that come into the centre, including triaging patient alarms from the elderly and isolated around the clock.
As frontline but non-contact roles, vaccination is not a requirement for this position. The roles are based on site in our Wollongong CBD call centre.
The roles may be full-time, part-time, or casual. If you're looking for a casual role, you won't just be filling in a few shifts here and there - our clients' protocols and procedures change frequently and to ensure currency of knowledge we require commitment to at least 2 shifts per week. Wilingness to do your share of afternoon shift / night shift and weekend work is also critical.
We're seeking qualified RNs or ENs, Paramedics, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, or other degree-qualified Health Professionals with an AHPRA registration who can demonstrate the following qualifications, skills, experience and qualities:
- Relevant qualifications
- Registration with AHPRA
- Current First Aid certificate
- Willingness to work night shifts, afternoon shifts and weekends
- Sound judgement and the ability to triage quickly and accurately
- A warm, friendly and empathetic personality
- A high level of customer focus
- The ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships with staff, clients and their significant others, and external service providers
- Excellent verbal and written communication including listening skills
- Computer literacy
- A high level of initiative
- Teamwork
- An understanding of the needs of the aged care community, including the importance of the role played by home care and monitoring
