About us
Jewish Care Victoria, is a not-for-profit organisation and is the largest provider of aged and community services for the Jewish Community in Victoria. For 175 years we have been providing services including Aged Residential Care, Assessment Referral and Individual Support Services, Community Aged Care, Disability, Mental Health, Youth and Family Services and Holocaust Survivors Programs.
Our staff come from all cultural and religious backgrounds, and we provide cultural and spiritual training in the Jewish Ethos.
What you will do:
- Community physiotherapist
- Expanding allied health team located within the active living centres at JewishCare sites (Caulfield, Carnegie & Windsor)
- A mix of in room and home visit case load
- Fully equipment gym for group programs and one on one client use
- No afterhours or holiday work required. 9 – 5pm.
- 3 Day/week required (open to negotiation). Ideal working days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
As an experienced Physiotherapist, you will work within a highly skilled team to develop, implement, coordinate and evaluate quality rehabilitation services. At Jewish Care we provide a model of care based on reducing the functional challenges of individuals via a compensatory and restorative approach. We support individuals with their Needs, Wants and Desires by delivering the best Support, Care and Experience.
The position is responsible for delivering physiotherapy services across community sites, with a focus on independence and healthy ageing. Physiotherapy services may include manual therapy, exercise therapy and group programs.
Our services are funded under CHSP, HCP, EPC and self-funded. You will join our growing service based in our new $90million Residential and Health & Wellbeing facilities in Windsor, Caulfield and Carnegie. Supporting the development of new services alongside the Allied Health, you will provide services across different community sites and in people's homes, with a focus on independence and living actively

Qualifications and skills you will bring to the role
Essential
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated experience and well developed clinical skills in physiotherapy within aged care, either community or residential setting
- Highly developed communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team
- Proven ability to manage complex care issues
