Working full-time or part-time on a permanent basis, the purpose of this position is to provide physiotherapy services to children with disabilities or developmental delay. You'll work in a collaborative team using a person and family-cantered approach to assess, intervene, and evaluate services, promoting functional movement and participation in daily activities.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Manage clinical caseloads as per service provision guidelines and/or external agency requirements, ensuring quality service delivery.
- Provide physiotherapy assessment, intervention, and evaluation to clients at our onsite centre and in community settings (including hydrotherapy).
- Achieve client outcomes through a collaborative team approach to therapy in consultation with families, carers, guardians, healthcare and education providers.
- Prescribe assistive and therapeutic mobility and postural equipment as required.
- Provide an integrated and holistic service to the client through positive and effective liaisons with all interdisciplinary team members.
- Deliver and participate in skill-based group programs.
- Provide information and support to parents, professionals and other relevant individuals to facilitate client care.
- Use the Client Management System and other systems for client and funding related documentation.
- Meet KPIs, ensuring performance excellence in client care.
Essential:
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent, and AHPRA registration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a case load of clients, consistently meeting service delivery objectives and timeframes.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work as part of a team to achieve positive outcomes.
- An understanding of family-centred practice.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a team.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Hold or be willing to obtain National Police Clearance and Working with Vulnerable People Check (NDIS endorsed).
Desirable:
- Experience in delivering Physiotherapy services to children and/or working under NDIS.
