Our early intervention services are provided at our purpose-built facility which includes group rooms, therapy rooms (with observational windows and sound system), and sufficient office space. We also have an extensive range of assessments, therapy equipment and resources available.

Our early intervention team uses a transdisciplinary key worker model of service delivery. Our team understands that child development can be very complex and the importance of therapists and professionals working together to achieve best outcomes. Our aim in on working with the child and their family and developing functional skills and abilities.

In this role, the successful candidate will utilise their knowledge of pediatric physiotherapy intervention, child development and family centred practice to:

  • Re-establish Physiotherapy services offered by our organisation. As part of this you will have access to an existing pool of equipment and resources. A large indoor and outdoor space is also available for use for individual and/or group sessions as needed.
  • Conduct assessment and intervention within a range of settings including, home, school, preschool, early learning settings and the clinic. 
  • Adapt home, play and learning environments as well as prescribe and implement assistive technology and equipment.
  • Educate and empower families and caregivers to use strategies to support their child in everyday routines and environments. 

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy, and current AHPRA registration.   

Essential Criteria:

  • You must hold a current driver's license and be willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check, NSW Working with Children's Check and VIC Working with Children's Check.
  • An interest for or experience in working to support children with a disability and their families as well as an understanding of complex needs. 
  • Experience and/or knowledge of relevant formal and standardised assessments.
  • Experience and/or understanding of setting goals and implementing evidence-based therapy across a diverse range of disorders.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong rapport and relationships with clients, carers, staff and external stakeholders. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of the team. 
  • Effective written and communication skills, time management and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills.
  • High level of enthusiasm and positive attitude.
