Townsville Hospital and Health Service are seeking an experienced and client focused Physiotherapist to join the Physiotherapy Department. Please note - there are three (3) permanent full-time roles and two (2) temporary full-time roles available.This role will deliver effective physiotherapy clinical services to an allocated inpatient and/or outpatient caseload as part of a multidisciplinary team primarily within the Townsville University Hospital and other service locations across the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.Where the allocation is to the Townsville University Hospital, the position contributes to a 7-day, extended-hours physiotherapy (Emergency Department) and on-call service.Job details Position status Permanent,Temporary

- Three (3) permanent full-time positions
- Two (2) fixed term temporary full-time, up to 05/01/2025
- Mandatory requirements are possession of a qualification in physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution and current registration, or eligibility for current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
- Drivers License: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
- Salary rates between $2941.70 - $4459.00 p.f. (HP3)
- 17.5% annual leave loading + leave
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution

- Clinical Expertise:
- Demonstrated competent level of knowledge, expertise and skill in physiotherapy clinical practice.
- Communication:
- Demonstrated effective communication skills and an ability to work effectively as part of a single-discipline or a multidisciplinary health care team.
- Clinical Ability
- Demonstrated ability to manage a clinical caseload under the clinical practice supervision of more senior physiotherapists; and to assess non-complex patients and interpret assessment findings to develop and implement safe and effective routine physiotherapy interventions.
- Leadership:
- Demonstrated ability or ability to rapidly acquire the skill to supervise assistant staff and contribute to the supervision of students on work experience or clinical placement.
