Our team ensures the right people are in the right place, at the right time, to help develop, deliver and manage complex projects and assets in the energy sector, including wind, solar, hydro, BESS, W2E, transmission and electric vehicle infrastructure.
Position Overview: We are looking for a reliable and skilled Piling Operator/Driller with a minimum of 1 year of experience in piling operations, specifically for solar projects or similar applications.
The successful candidate will have experience operating piling/drilling equipment and will demonstrate proficiency in operating heavy machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Operate drilling rigs to install concrete, steel, or timber piles
- Set up and prepare drilling equipment for operation
- Monitor drilling operations to ensure that piles are installed correctly and according to specifications
- Maintain and repair drilling equipment as needed
- Follow safety procedures and protocols at all times, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Communicate effectively with team members and project managers
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a piling driller or operator
- Experience with piling for solar projects or similar applications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Any relevant tickets or certifications reflecting experience are welcomed but not necessary, as Pilecom will provide their own health and safety (H&S) and ticketing processes
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
