Piping Designer / Drafter Checker

Are you an experienced Piping Design Checker looking for a challenging opportunity to showcase your skills? We are currently seeking a Senior Piping Design / Drafting Checker to join our dynamic team. If you have a keen eye for detail, a passion for excellence, and a strong background in piping system design, we want to hear from you.
Qualifications:

• High school certificate (QCE or equivalent) including technical drawing/design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
• Demonstrated experience with 3D drafting.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Plant3D & Navisworks.
• Cert IV Engineering Drafting or equivalent preferred.
• Senior-level experience in plant layout and design.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough checks of 3D model plant layouts, ensuring clash detection and identifying design errors.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant company and Australian standards.
• Monitor and maintain all aspects of piping system design.
• Evaluate drawing packages provided by vendors to ensure accuracy.
• Review piping isometrics and pipe support structures.
• Verify accuracy of bill of materials.
• Check for precision in structural and civil detail drawings.
• Collaborate with designers to resolve design errors.
• Ability to interpret and utilize 3D laser scan point cloud data is an advantage.
