Equinox Engineering Australia Pty Ltd. is an engineering service provider located in Brisbane, QLD. We provide high quality Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) services to our clients in Australia and worldwide.
Equinox Australia is engaged in numerous Concept, FEED and Detail Design projects, working with several of the largest energy providers in Australia.
Equinox Engineering is actively recruiting an Intermediate Piping Designer to join our Brisbane team to deliver conventional oil & gas and carbon capture pipeline projects. The role will be accountable for regular face-to-face liaison with our clients, and to provide leadership for the successful execution of capital projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordination of piping design and drafting activities on projects.
Preparation of 3D models using Hexagon CADWorx.
AutoCAD Plant 3D, S3D/SPPID are assets.
Preparation of design drawings such BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, Plot Plans, Piping General Arrangements as well as Equipment Layouts and Isometrics.
Review of drawings and designs for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
Participate in internal and external 30/60/90 model reviews.
Adherence to electronic filing system, folder structure and file management.
Regular meetings with the Piping Design Lead to ensure all project requirements are being met.
Effectively communicate the status of tasks, design changes and continuous improvement items to the rest of the design team.
Support and development of overseas Value Engineering Centre.
Maintain proficiency with the most up to date software.
Develop mutually beneficial relationships with team members and project personnel.
Key Skills:
Design knowledge to execute the layout of Piping systems.
Proficiency in Hexagon CADWorx software for seamless project execution
Preparation of design drawings for the various disciplines in the company, including Process, Piping and Mechanical.
Proficiency in CSA and ASME standards for compliance and quality assurance
Experience executing work in an EPCM environment
Experience with Construction support
Knowledge and experience with oil & gas projects – including field facilities, central processing facilities, pipelines
Knowledge and experience with overseas Value Engineering Centres
Ability to take guidance from relevant Leads and grow in the position.
Education and Qualifications
Engineering Design and Drafting Diploma (Piping)
3 – 8 years’ of EPCM experience
