About the Role:
Based at our Perth office, we are currently seeking suitably qualified and energetic Piping Materials Engineer to work closely with clients, project managers and cross functional engineering teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Ideally, you will have 10 years’ experience previous Piping Materials Engineering experience in the gas and energy engineering and construction sector, and experience on facilities construction and commissioning projects, major EPC projects and/or Infrastructure projects will be advantageous.
To be successful, you will preferably have experience working as part of a multidiscipline team in oil and gas or petrochemical projects and studies.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Piping Materials Engineering, investigation and advice,
- Material take-off and procurement of Piping Materials,
- Preparation, submission, and evaluation of tender packages, bids, and proposals,
- Planning and project controls coordination,
- Prepare technical requisition for piping components,
- Vendor package management and expediting,
- Attend internal and external project meetings as required to support project management and discipline lead,
- Develop risk assessments of piping systems,
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and design reviews,
- Complete engineering tasks within the allocated timeframe to the specified quality level,
- Provide technical engineering advice and support,
- Liaison with clients and suppliers,
Essential Qualities and Background
- Degree qualified engineer with minimum of 10 years post graduate experience in an aligned industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar
- Experience in package engineering.
- Experience working for construction contractor or EPCM consultancy
- Proven people management and leadership skills.
- Proven technical capability and commercial acumen.
- Experience of managing and delivering projects within timeframes and budget.
- Experience in quality improvement and management over Piping Materials.
- Relationship management, conflict management and resolution and problem-solving experience.
- Strong computer literacy skills with knowledge of MS applications, experience with Primavera P6 preferred.
- Willingness to work on a range of projects as workload dictates.
- Adaptability to be able to work directly from client's offices representing Enscope when needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal & external stakeholders
