ABOUT Site - Barrow Island
Barrow Island is located around 60 kilometres from the mainland and approximately 139 kilometres west of the Port of Dampier. It's also home to Chevron’s Gorgon Project and WA Oil operations. It is the largest oil field discovered in Western Australia. Ertech has been a major service provider to Chevron Australia’s Gorgon Project for over 10 years.
Barrow Island provides excellent on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as gym facilities (mixed and separate gyms available for men & women with a variety of fitness classes to choose from), sporting facilities including a football field, golf stimulator, bike hire, 2 swimming pools, basketball court, tennis court and a cricket pitch!

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent full-time position
We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced site-based Planner to join our dynamic team, for a recently awarded major project on Barrow Island. This role will have a 2:1 FIFO roster, Immediate starts are also available. Reporting to the Controls Manager/Project Manager, you will support team members and projects as required in the delivery of planning and project control requirements.
We are looking for someone with previous site-based experience and sound Planning capabilities. A good understanding of Civil Construction works will be highly regarded.
Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Planning and scheduling using Primavera P6.
- Prepare and manage detailed programs for all stages of our project.
- Liaison with the site team to accurately capture and report progress.
- Preparation of look-ahead schedules and engagement with the site team on planned works.
- Preparation of weekly and monthly reports including dashboards, histograms and S-Curves to present to key stakeholders.
- Measure and report program/ project performance based on KPIs and earned value analysis.
- Provide clear guidance to project teams on project status.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or similar related field (e.g. Bachelor of Engineering)
- 5-10 years relevant experience working on Civil Engineering infrastructure projects – (Roads, concrete works, remediation, buildings etc)
- Previous onsite experience in Civil Construction or similar environment
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to work efficiently under own initiative
- Proven Planning and scheduling experience with demonstrated proficiency with Primavera P6 - Essential
- Experience working with schedule change management
- Proficient in the use and application of MS Office suite
