Company description:Kestrel Coal Pty LtdJob description:About our company : Kestrel is one of the world's largest producing underground metallurgical coal mines and produces around 7 million tonnes of metallurgical coal annually. Our coal is shipped to key markets in Asia and Europe to be used in the steel making process. The mine is located in the Bowen Basin, approximately 40km Northeast of Emerald in Central QLD. Our team's capability covers the entire mining process, from development to extraction and processing, environmental management and sustainable rehabilitation. We have an approved life of mine until 2033 and reserves to 2046 with the potential to increase further. A rewarding opportunity is currently available for an experienced Mechanical Infrastructure Coordinator. In this role you will be working a 9-day fortnight and will ideally be local to Emerald or willing to relocate, however we are open to discussing DIDO arrangements with the right candidate. In this role, you will support Kestrel by: Providing technical expertise in the operation and functional design of conveyor systems and LOM installations. Ensuring optimal use of resources by leading, planning and scheduling mechanical installations. Leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across crews. Managing engagement with OEM's and contractors. Ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. Overseeing and providing guidance in the execution of weekly work plans and tasks. Leading, coaching and mentoring personnel within the direct work area. About you: Two years' experience as a Mechanical Coordinator in an Underground Coal Mine (highly desirable). 5 years' experience in a supervisory/leadership role (desirable). G1, G2, G8 & G9 (Mining Supervisor) accreditation or equivalent (advantageous) with a demonstrated commitment to implementing and maintaining a positive safety culture. A high level of reasoning ability and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated commitment in achieving business goals with a flexible work attitude and sound work ethic. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
