We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Planning Development Officer to join the Development Services Team.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
- Ensure Council meets statutory obligations under the Planning, Development & Infrastructure Act and other related legislation.
- Provide consistent, timely and accurate advice and recommendations on development control and land use matters.
- Provide consistent and accurate advice to members of the public, other council staff, statutory bodies and other interested parties on development control, zoning, land use and Council policy.
- Attend Council Assessment Panel meetings and provide advice to members on development applications when required.
The successful applicant will have:
- A degree in Urban and Regional Planning or related discipline.
- Experience in a development assessment planning position in a large, complex and diverse organisation.
- Knowledge of the development control processes under the PDI Act.
- Knowledge of the PDI Act and related legislation, Planning and Development Code, SA Planning Portal.

This role is being offered between a Level 4 and Level 5 ($91,772 - $105,336 per annum plus superannuation), dependant on the successful applicant’s degree of experience, skills and knowledge.
