The Suburban Connect consortium, comprising CPB Contractors, ACCIONA and Ghella, have been selected by the Victorian Government to deliver the first major tunnelling package on the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East project.
The package includes construction of a 16-kilometre section of the project’s twin tunnels, including tunnelling between Cheltenham and Glen Waverley, 55 safety cross passages between the tunnels, station boxes at Clayton and Monash and the construction of portals – the entrances and exits to the tunnels – at the stabling facility.

Join our team as a Planning & Environment Advisor on our new mega project.
As a Planning & Environmental Advisor you will be accountable for:
- Undertaking the preparation of statutory materials, environmental referrals, permit applications, management plans and other approvals as required.
- Undertaking research and / or analysis to support content of technical reports, including but not limited to analysis of planning controls, and submissions analysis.
- Assisting in the start-up of a new project including finalisation and implementation of EMPs, and set up of environmental governance activities such as identification of environmental risks, implementation of environmental controls, weekly toolbox and other communication activities, and implementation of compliance activities such as inspections
- Identifying key environmental risks, and developing appropriate controls and communication for inclusion in work planning activities
- Influencing and fostering a strong HSE Culture through strong leadership and communication skills
- Participating or leading internal and external auditing of the Environmental Management system
Our minimum requirements for this role are:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science or Environmental Engineering
- Experience working on major projects in environmental management or compliance with exposure to Environmental Performance Requirements
- Experience in providing technical advice on, planning and environmental issues in a major project context, including the management of publicly owned land.
- Ability to co-ordinate, collaborate and support team members
- Construction industry experience
