What you’ll do In your new role as the Planning Manager, you will help to bring the Big W purpose to life by championing value creation as a result of identifying, investigating and coordinating actions to resolve opportunities & issues that drive sales, profit and optimise inventory in partnership with Commercial and identified business stakeholders.
Identify, influence and facilitate cross functional action groups for Sales, profit and Inventory Optimisation
Coordinate and manage the monthly forecast review process, as well as annual budgeting
Monitor weekly performance trends to identify and highlight risks and opportunities across the business Facilitate business case discussions, preparation, and performance tracking to deliver key planning initiatives
What You’ll Bring
Extensive experience in Merchandising Planning
Complex problem solving ability to identify issues and conduct root cause analysis
Ability to work in an incredibly fast paced and autonomous environment and comfortably manage competing priorities Developed capability in assessing return on investment of strategic initiatives
