The Strategy and Planning at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Planning Officer to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
The position will contribute to the development of Strategy and health service planning projects across the Mackay Hospital and Health Service, by ensuring they are completed in accordance with agreed project deliverables with the overall aim to enhance health service delivery.
About the Team
The Strategy and Governance portfolio comprises of various functions, including strategy, integrated planning, organisational service agreement Strategy and management, organisational performance and reporting, board governance, risk and compliance, internal audit, legal, consumer and community engagement, media and communications and emergency and disaster management for the Mackay Hospital and Health Service.
The Strategy and Governance portfolio provides high-level advice and support to the Mackay Hospital and Health Board and Executive Leadership Team of the MHHS on strategic, tactical and operational activities.

has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
