We are seeking a highly motivated Plant and Equipment Supervisor for a site-based opportunity in Lihir Island, Papua New Guinea, on a 22:20 roster.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in project operations and will be responsible for the coordination, maintenance and compliance of a range of Plant and Equipment on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate the maintenance of Plant and Equipment
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, both internal and client
• Liaise with a wide range of suppliers and contractors in relation to the maintenance of Plant and Equipment
• Maintain accurate records through the use of registers
• Provide breakdown response and coordinate repairs
• Ensure timely delivery of Plant and Equipment to meet contractual and project schedules

What you will bring 

• Australian recognised mechanical trade certificate
• 5+ years of relevant experience in mining, heavy industrial or minerals processing environments
• Demonstrable experience in breakdown repairs, servicing and maintenance of the following Plant and Equipment (highly regarded); Franna Cranes, Tadano All Terrain Cranes, Genie EWPs, Toyota Hilux Vehicles, Compressors, Dynapac Roller, Caterpillar Excavator, Mosa, Kutoba and Cummings Diesel Generators, Diesel Welding Machines, Isuzu Trucks, Hiace and Toyota Busses.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven record of coaching and mentoring individuals and teams
• A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
• Excellent time management skills and demonstrable experience achieving tight deadlines
• Proof of right to work in Australia and a valid passport
