The Position
The Plant Operator, reporting to the Service Delivery Lead, will work collaboratively with the Asset Maintenance team to construct and maintain Council’s infrastructure assets across the region, in accordance with recognised standards. The Plant Operator will operate plant assets including, Loader/Backhoe, Skid Street, Excavator, Roller, Tractor/Slasher, and Grader (not for final trim). The Plant Operator will also conduct general labouring duties, when required, to assist in construction and maintenance of Council’s infrastructure.
About You
For thePlant Operatorposition, you will be able to demonstrate High-level of quality of works and scheduled maintenance tasks are consistently delivered in accordance with the scheduled maintenance program, as well as the physical agility and dexterity to carry out labouring duties in tropical conditions. You will have a Construction Industry (White Card), Current Queensland Class “C” Drivers Licence and the following competencies (or equivalent):
- RIIMPO315E - Conduct tractor operations
- RIIMPO319E - Conduct backhoe
- RIIMP032IE - Loader operations
- RIIMPO318F - Conduct civil construction skid steer loader operations
- RIIMPO317F - Conduct roller operations
