AddressYour New Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Plant Operator / Labourer to join our team in Somerton, VIC on a Full-Time basis.
This is a multi-skilled role involving both manual handling labour and plant operation of brand new tyre recycling equipment.
You will have key responsibility in:
- Sort tyres according to prescribed criteria.
- Unload materials from trucks
- Remove contamination from recyclable material
- Load materials into containers
- Operate forklift/bobcat/excavator to move materials for processing, sorting, storing and transporting tyres, Pending onsite assessment and qualifications.
- Operate recycling processing equipment
- Maintain production standards
- Monitor equipment operation and report malfunction and other maintenance and repair needs to the Plant Supervisor or Plant Manager
- Carry out basic maintenance tasks
- Clean plant equipment and work areas
- Perform other duties as per business requirements
- Foster and promote safe working behaviours and display a commitment to Tyrecycle safety standards and OHS requirements at all times
About you:
- Current driver's licence
- Willingness to perform manual labour tasks
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team
- Personal drive and results orientated
- Previous plant operating experience with current license (desirable) or the ability to obtain licence for:
- Forklift (required)
- Skid Steer (experience preferred)
- Manual gear driving experience (required)
- HR and HC
- Front End Loader
- Excavator
- Proven commitment to health and safety
