About the role
We are currently seeking experienced Plant Operators to join our team in Moranbah. Our Level 2 Operators are experienced mine workers and Plant Operators who can demonstrate competence. They possess a broad depth of understanding and experience in earthmoving. You can expect to be constructing drill pads, dams and roads. There is also a variety of general civil works.
Duties will include:
- Perform Prestart inspections on every machine operated.
- Complete Day Works Sheets (DWS) correctly and submit to the Site Supervisor daily for approval and invoicing.
- Submit all Close Out Pages on SWIs and SWGs together with all signed off JSEAs and JSAs to the Site Supervisor at the end of each swing.
- Participate in development of site-specific Job Safety Analysis (JSA)’s signature acknowledgement for every task undertaken.
- Review and sign Authority to Work (ATW), Permit to Work and relevant work packs prior to task commencement.
- Complete Personal Risk Assessments (SLAM’s- Stop, Look, Assess, Manage) before commencing tasks.
- Contribute to daily Prestart Meetings and Toolbox Talks.
- Report Incidents or Hazards, once the area has been made safe, to the Supervisor and no later than end of day that shift.
- Taking regular breaks to ensure fatigue management hours are not exceeded.
- Completing Medical Declarations, Fatigue declarations forms and submitting prior to swings.
Your Skills & Qualifications
You must have a Standard 11 certificate and Health Assessment (Coal Board Medical) dated within the previous 5 years and at least 3 of the following:
Current RII Competency (Statement of Attainment) dated within the previous 5 years for the operation of; RIIMPO337 - Conduct articulated haul truck operations, RIIVEH307 - Operate a heavy rigid vehicle, RIIMPO301 - Conduct hydraulic excavator operations, RIIMPO206 - Conduct bulk water truck operations, RIIMPO321 - Conduct civil construction wheeled front end loader operations, RIIHAN311 - Conduct operations with integrated tool carrier, RIIMPO317 - Conduct roller operations.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Current Open Drivers Licence.
- Can use computers and learn online.
- Write and speak clearly.
- Demonstrate understanding of civil works in mining-related operations, including the intricacies of the industry, safety protocols, and best practices.
