Council is seeking an experienced Plant Operator to undertake maintenance and construction duties through the skilled operation of a Slasher.
This position is based in Tara.
Reporting to the Works Supervisor, you will be:
- providing a high standard of operating skills on civil construction and maintenance plant and other equipment;
- effectively using your communication skills to ensure an understanding in maintaining assigned equipment;
- completing allocated tasks consistently within agreed time frames; and
- being aware and adhering safe work practices to ensure all risks are minimised.
About yourself
The successful applicant will have:
- a verification of Competency in the operation of various types of plant and equipment;
- experience in servicing minor repairs and pre-start inspection of various types of earthmoving equipment; and
- experience in the operation of various types of mechanical or electrical hand tools and equipment in Construction and Maintenance
