AddressOur client is a highly reputable and expanding Ground Engineering contractor specialising in design and construction services including piling, grouting, earth retention, civil construction, and civil/geotechnical engineering. We are in search of 2x experienced Grout Plant Operators for work in the Gold Coast and regional Queensland.
About the Role:
The Grout Plant Operator ensures the smooth operation of the Grout Plant, collaborating with the Plant Operator to prioritize tasks and ensure the timely and safe completion of piling, anchoring, shoring, and civil projects to meet client satisfaction. This role involves manual handling tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Uphold safety, environmental, and quality policies among staff, contractors, clients, and the public.
- Maintain and inspect the Grout Plant for optimal performance, including regular servicing.
- Oversee new works until completion and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare the Grout Plant for operation, conduct pre-start checks, and ensure visibility of signage.
- Coordinate operations by communicating effectively with other personnel.
- Position and transport the Grout Plant as needed across worksites.
- Work from drawings and installation records under supervision.
- Complete installation records accurately and comprehensively.
- Tow the Grout Plant safely to and from worksites, ensuring secure connections.
- Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and refueling of the plant.
- Undertake repairs and minor adjustments if qualified.
- Maintain occupational health and safety standards and promote a culture of safety.
- MUST BE ABLE TO LIVE AND WORK AWAY FROM HOME
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Profound understanding of piling, civil, and engineering practices.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and leading by example.
- Ability to adhere to safe work procedures and follow instructions precisely.
- Team player with physical capability to perform lifting, bending, and manual handling tasks.
- Good eyesight and hand-eye coordination.
- Capability to work independently without supervision.
- Construction Industry Blue and/or White Card
- Must have Valid Motor Vehicle Licence
- Certification to conduct Grout Plant VOC (highly regarded).
- Adhere to all applicable policies and work procedures.
- Be available for work days, compliant with policies regarding drugs and alcohol.
- Must be an Australian Resident or hold a valid working permit issued by the Australian Government.
