Your Next Opportunity:Dungog Shire Council is looking for a full-time Plant Operator Team Leader based in Dungog, NSW.
This role, reporting to the Works Supervisor in the Infrastructure & Assets Department, is vital for managing plant operations and leading teams on various construction and maintenance projects.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operating graders, excavators, and other plant to high standards
- Undertaking daily and routine servicing and safety maintenance checks
- Ensuring cleanliness of plant equipment
- Organising and supervising staff and contractors
- Managing the loading and unloading of machinery
- Implementing the Council’s WHS policies and programs to maintain safety standards

- Qualifications for operating a variety of plant and equipment and obtaining higher Class Driver Licenses
- Opportunities to complete certificate-level training in Civil Construction

To qualify, you will need a current and valid Class MR Driver Licence and proven experience in grader and/or excavator operation. Demonstrated experience in civil works projects and Team Leadership will also be essential. Additionally, competence in the operation of small plant machinery and equipment is required.

Be Rewarded:The position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis and is placed at Grade 3 of Council's salary system.
The salary offered is in the range of $61,934 - $69,667 per annum plus superannuation and allowances, dependent upon competency level and in accordance with Council’s Salary Policy.
