Greater Hume Council is a large rural Council with a focus on responsibility, growth and sustainability. We are based in southern New South Wales, right near the Murray River, bordering Victoria and the local government areas of Albury, Federation, Lockhart, Snowy Valleys and Wagga Wagga Councils. In addition to the above, a Plant Operator attracts an annual salary ranging between $59,000 to $65,970 + 11% Superannuation and allowances, working 38 hours per week and a 9 day fortnight.
About the Position
As Plant Operator, you will work in a small crew of 3 with the occasional Contractor, completing works predominately associated with bridges, drains and culverts. We are searching for an Operator who is keen to learn and operate all items of plant ranging from Bobcats, Backhoes, Excavators, Tip Trucks and Trailers, Rollers and more. This crew is an integral part of Council's operations, ensuring works are completed before road construction activities commence.
We are searching for a keen operator who is interested in a variety of work and who can offer us:
· Experience in the operation and maintenance of a range of civil construction and maintenance activities
· Experience in the operation of plant on roadworks and other civil construction sites
· Demonstrated ability to understand and implement work instructions
· Current White Card
· Current Heavy Rigid Drivers Licence.
