Position Overview: 

With multiple civil construction projects underway and in the pipeline across Tasmania, we are seeking an experienced Plant Supervisor to join our team. This exciting opportunity can be situated anywhere in Tasmania as statewide travel is a key requirement for the success of this position. This critical role will provide support to our people and equipment on the ground ensuring we are delivering our projects in a safe and efficient manner.  

Key Responsibilities:

The roles will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Flexibility with work hours, attending pre-start/toolbox meetings and the ability to travel/work from alternative locations
  • Managing equipment downtime and breakdowns in conjunction with our workshop and field service teams
  • Inspecting and reporting on machinery focusing on utilisation
  • Efficiently & effectively manage conflict resolution with employees
  • Excellent communication and a positive approach to leadership 
  • The ability to prioritise work with excellent stakeholder management skills

Qualifications, Requirements & Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar environment with an excellent understanding of civil works projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of earthmoving equipment (Excavator/Grader/Loader/Dump trucks, etc.)
  • Ability to be field based with regular state-wide travel to support our project delivery teams
  • A Safety 1st Always Works attitude with a strong commitment to maintaining safe work practices
  • Show a strong work ethic & high attention to detail
  • Must hold a current White Card
