Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated individual for a Practical Legal Training (PLT) placement. This opportunity is ideal for candidates aiming to gain hands-on experience in diverse legal areas. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced solicitors, engaging in various legal tasks and making contributions to our practice.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in drafting and preparing legal documents, including briefs, contracts, and conveyancing paperwork.
· Conduct legal research and analysis across our practice areas.
· Support solicitors in case preparation, including evidence collection, client communications, and coordination with external entities.
· Participate in court appearances, mediations, and other legal appointments under supervision.
· Provide administrative support to the team, including file management and correspondence.
· Attend client meetings and assist in providing legal advice under the supervision of our partners.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.
· Enrolment in or completion of a Practical Legal Training (PLT) program.
· Strong academic record
· Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
· Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Language Requirement:
Fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese is preferred.
Minimum Commitment:
A minimum commitment of 3 days per week is required for the PLT placement. The specific days and hours can be negotiated to fit the candidate's availability.
